Episode 17 - Senior isolation and narrative gerontology

Episode Summary

Our guest today is Professor William (Bill) Randall from St. Thomas University, New Brunswick. With colleagues worldwide, he has been developing an approach to aging called "Narrative Gerontology", which proposes that, at bottom, we are storytelling creatures, and consciously or otherwise, are continually composing "the story of my life", a complex text that aging itself nudges us to read. He has recently published a book - "In Our Stories Lies Our Strength: Aging, Spirituality, and Narrative" (Kindle Direct Publishing, 2019).
